O. STUDIO DESIGN NAMED A CFDA x OPENAI INNOVATION HUB AI DEVELOPER FINALIST

We're in the room.

On May 13th, the Council of Fashion Designers of America and OpenAI officially kicked off their inaugural Innovation Hub at a live "Dev Day" event in New York City — and O. STUDIO DESIGN was named one of six AI developer finalists selected from across the country.

Out of a national field of applicants, six companies were chosen to represent the intersection of artificial intelligence and the fashion industry. Alongside Alta, Cadenova, Curbon, OpenStudio, and Raspberry AI, O. STUDIO DESIGN stood on that stage and answered a single defining question: How does your technology solve a specific challenge within the fashion industry, and what is the impact?

Our answer: O.SYNTAX

O.SYNTAX is our proprietary knitwear compiler that decodes the language of knitwear design and translates it into production-ready instructions for industrial knitting machines. It closes the gap between creative vision and physical output — a gap the industry has struggled with for decades. No manual pattern translation. No production guesswork. Just design, decoded.

Six CFDA member brands are participating in the cohort — alice+olivia, Araks, Public School, Rebecca Minkoff, Simkhai, and Tory Burch. Over the next four months, developer and designer teams will collaborate directly, supported by OpenAI mentorship.

We've always believed that knitwear is a language and now we can use AI as a translator. The CFDA x OpenAI Innovation Hub just confirmed we have the right signal.

More updates coming as the cohort progresses.

Over and out.
