Every brand has a moment when the industry takes notice. For O. STUDIO DESIGN, one of those moments was a feature in Women's Wear Daily.
In July 2020, WWD spotlighted O. STUDIO DESIGN as part of their Market Moments series — covering emerging brands pushing boundaries in design, retail, and culture. The feature captured exactly what the brand was built on: knitwear engineered at the intersection of athleticism and futurism, designed for the individual who refuses to choose between function and identity.

Founded in November 2019 by Atlanta-native El Lewis — creative director, stylist, and strategist — O. STUDIO DESIGN launched with a gender-fluid assortment and a circular business model anchored in digital design, textile innovation, and sustainability. The mission was direct: give people dependable staples. A uniform built for the way they actually live.

Two signatures from that original launch, The Commander and The Pilot, drew directly from NASA's ranking system. Not by accident. The language of space exploration has always lived inside this brand's DNA, the belief that clothing can be technical, purposeful, and aspirational all at once.

This 2020 feature was early validation from one of fashion's most established publications. It confirmed that what we were building in Atlanta belonged in the same conversation as what was happening anywhere else in the world.
